My Mission
My mission is to help teachers streamline their work with simple systems and organization. I believe that writing and teaching writing can be fun and enjoyable for everyone.
I took a detour right after high school. After I married my husband Bryant, I started making up for time I lost on that detour. I worked full time, I went to school to earn an accounting degree, then a teaching credential, then a Master’s Degree. I also became a published writer of EL books and educational materials -all while raising a family.
But this endless teaching and learning workload took its toll on me, leading to burnout. A pivotal moment happened when I fell asleep during an anniversary dinner at the coast.
Literally. I. Fell. Asleep.
My adoring husband let me sleep and took a long walk on the beach by himself. What a guy! I’m lucky to be with him.
But that was a turning point. I realized I needed to develop systems and strategies to streamline my work.
Enjoyment can be part of every lesson, every activity, every thing we do with our students . I believe teaching and learning should be fun and engaging for everyone.
I am passionate about helping teachers find balance. I share effective systems, strategies, and mindset shifts so you can be your best in the classroom.
The last four years of my teaching career, including during the pandemic, were the most fulfilling because I finally achieved this balance.
I am committed to providing high-quality, standards-based, and research-backed products and resources. My goal is to engage students so they not only do the activities, but also enjoy the learning process and are eager for more.
